Meet the New Faces at Nexus

Nexus welcomes five new faces to the team. Job roles have been created to enable us to expand our web development capabilities and also ensure that high standards of quality and customer care are maintained.

Simon Ede - Software Developer

Simon returned to the UK in the summer after four years working in China supporting product transfers for telecoms companies. Most recently, he worked as a software engineer for a US company developing tuneable lasers. Prior to this post he was on secondment for Bookham Technology. His main responsibilities were for the software development projects required by new products. Before transferring overseas, Simon worked at Nortel in Paignton for 12 years undertaking various software and product development roles.

Edward Pope - Web Developer

With over 10 years' experience working as a web developer, Edward started his career at ‘The Driver Is' (now owned by Bray Leino). At ‘The Driver Is' Edward was responsible for the design and build of many diverse websites, including sites for Smith & Nephew, BT, BP, Accenture, Greenpeace, Lonmin and AMEC. He progressed through the company to become production manager, responsible for a group of 8 developers and a portfolio of over 30 projects. Recently Edward worked for the Guardian Media Group, where he predominantly built websites for the property industry, incorporating the Thinkproperty.com suite of developer tools.

James Godfrey - Web Developer

James is a young and enthusiastic web developer who previously worked at Bray Leino in the digital media team, creating websites for large multi-national organisations. Before starting his career James went to the University of Plymouth where he attained a BSc Computer Science degree.

Jeremy Newsam - ICT Consultant

Jeremy has enjoyed working in the ICT industry for over 10 years and was originally based in London where he worked for Portera, a California based Software Company. Since he moved back to the South West he has held the position of Senior Sales Executive for South West Communications Group selling Data Centre services. Prior to joining Nexus, Jeremy was Business Development Manager for Kingston Communications, overseeing the launch of their hosted product portfolio.

Natasha Corner - Photography Assistant

Having just graduated from the University of Leeds with a Sports Science and Physiology degree, Natasha joins Nexus to fulfil diverse job roles including photographer, software development tester and marketing assistant. Natasha has completed a Fashion Photography course at the London College of Fashion and Design. She has also gained valuable experience working with photographers from ITV, Soaplife Magazine and a number of portrait photographers in Leeds.
