Further expansion at Nexus

Nexus celebrates 10 years of innovation this year and continues its expansion to become the leading ICT provider in the south west.

Our highly experienced technical and administration teams have driven the company’s success and we are proud of the hard work and commitment demonstrated by the entire workforce. Since the start of 2008 a further four new jobs have been created and we welcome the following new team members to the company.

Look out for these new faces!

Trevor Pike - Software Developer

Trevor joins Nexus as a software developer with strong skills in ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL server, plus an honours degree in Maths with Computer Science from The University of Exeter.

Following university Trevor gained over 3 years of commercial experience developing software and business applications and we look forward to working with Trevor on some exciting forthcoming development projects.

Nicholas Beard - Systems Engineer

Nexus is very pleased to welcome Nicholas Beard to the Technical Support Team. Nik has worked in the South West for 6 years and brings with him a number of professional accreditations as well as commercial ICT and business experience gained from previous employment. In addition to his IT infrastructure knowledge Nik has hands on experience of website development and e-commerce.

Phil Husbands - Project Manager

Phil is no stranger to the Nexus Team having spent 7 years at Flybe where he used his project management and business analysis skills to successfully deliver business intelligence platforms, data warehouses and a corporate intranet using MiCore Portal Engine.

Phil has joined the Nexus Open Software development team as a Project Manager and Business Information Analyst. Phil will utilise his experience to help customers define software and automation requirements as well help deploy the products and solutions that Nexus develop. Phil has also been nominated administrator for all Nexus web portals, including customer portals and the Nexus Intranet.

Kathryn Kershaw - Account Manager

Nexus is delighted to welcome back Kat after a 6 year absence! Kat left Nexus to complete her degree at Plymouth University and after gaining an honours degree in Multimedia Computing, spent five years as a Procurement Officer at Devon County Council in Children and Young People Services. Kat had a personal contract portfolio and was tasked with managing tendering services for the Council and Devon Primary Care Trust.

Having re-joined the world of information technology Kat is now eager to transfer her local government knowledge and achievements to the private sector and looks forward to developing a technical sales consultancy role at Nexus.
