Rawle Gammon Baker (RGB Ltd) is one of the leading builders' merchants in the South West of England operating out of eleven branches. RGB selected MiCRM Marketing Software by Nexus to drive a software project aimed at improving business efficiency.

One of the primary objectives was to increase the productivity of field based staff by replacing existing paper-based systems with mobile PDA devices. MiCRM was installed on the RGB local network and deployed to appropriate office-based staff across the company locations. Field sales personnel were equipped with PDA devices running MiCRM Mobile Edition on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.

The contact management functionality of MiCRM allows field sales staff to instantly review important customer information while on the road or at a client site and update the software in real time using either a secure 3G/GPRS connection or by secure (SSL) VPN.

Another objective of the project was to provide improved reporting and efficient management information.  Managers can now easily obtain reporting information about sales activities. In addition, the data captured by the field sales staff builds a profile of customers and their buying patterns.

Having successfully implemented the solution, RGB Ltd will now look towards additional benefits that can be leveraged by the MiCRM software including the use of email broadcasting and event management features by the marketing department.
