Software Developer  

We are currently looking for experienced Software Developers to join the Nexus team.

You will be required to show the desire and ability to work in a fast moving and exciting department, developing cutting-edge software applications and websites. With a minimum of 2 years commercial experience in the following technologies, you should also be able to demonstrate your abilities in commercial software design, development and project management.

Web Developer

Our web development team employs talented Graphic Designers and Web Developers who assist with the creation of content managed websites and the development of customised Intranet/Extranet applications.

You will need to posses experience with some the following technologies and be able to demonstrate your awareness of Internet based business, marketing and automation solutions.

Administrator

Our administration team directly supports the Finance Director, and the Personnel & Administration Managers, assisting in all aspects of the day to day running of a busy Computer Systems Integrator.

Duties within the remit of our Administration Department are:

• Invoicing
• Purchase invoice and credit control
• Accounts system data entry (Sage)
• RTS & Warranty Contract management
• Health & Safety assistance and Risk Assessment
• Goods Returns (RMAs)
• Accommodation and events booking
• Telephone call handling
• Document creation, filing and maintenance
• Daily post and other general administrative duties

Candidates will ideally have good communication skills, be computer literate with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and web browser based office systems, combined with the ability to work under pressure as part of a team.

Website and Software Sales Specialists

We are looking for commercially aware software or website sales specialists with at least two years experience working in a client facing role.

Candidates must be self starters with a proven track record and be capable of assisting in all aspects of the software or website sales life cycle, including business development, lead generation, product demonstrations, sales proposal creation and client negotiation.

Nexus design and develop interactive websites, custom-built business applications and software products that enable organisations of all sizes to streamline efficiency, increase productivity and work smarter.

IT Pre-Sales Consultant

Are you a commercially aware IT Pre-Sales Consultant or Technical Sales Specialist? Do you have an acknowledged Industry accreditation or at least a minimum 2 years experience working in any of the market sectors from Nexus Open Systems portfolio? Do you have ambition and the necessary skills to enhance the pre-sales services our customers receive?

Our focused Pre-Sales department consists of a number of IT sales specialists. Candidates would be required to demonstrate through technical evaluation and commercial experience they can help analyse our customers specific computing or communications needs, helping design and presenting the most cost efficient solution and integration plan.

Project / Support Engineer 

We require commercially experienced individuals who can demonstrate good inter personal skills and form part of a dynamic systems integration team supplying leading technology solutions to organisations of all sizes in the UK and Europe.

This salaried position based from our offices in Exeter requires an experienced individual to assist our existing engineers in managing our clients long term IT strategies. The applicant would primarily be required to provide technical services in all aspects of commercial Business Systems Integration.

A good understanding of Computer, Voice and Data Systems implementation and associated project management methodology is essential. Other work will involve both remote & on-site fault diagnosis as part of our ongoing support commitments.

Interested applicants should ideally possess a 'Microsoft Certified Professional' qualification for a Microsoft Server Product or any other appropriate manufacturers technical accreditation.

Junior Technician

This salaried position based from our offices in Exeter requires an enthusiastic individual willing to learn and develop their skills as part of a dynamic systems integration team.
 
No previous experience necessary as full training will be provided. Basic hardware and software knowledge and an enthusiasm for IT are essential.
 
Ideally educated to GCSE standard at Grade C or above in Maths, English and a Science /or existing NVQ's at level 2 or above. Good communication skills required.
